Choose the type of business 

The first step for a RAKEZ company set up is to decide on the license type and business activity you wish to engage in. The type of licenses available at RAKEZ include; 

  1. A trading license which facilitates the exchange of large number of products 
  2. A service license required by companies that provide a service to their customers 
  3. A professional license  for companies based on individual professional skill 

RAKEZ also has other licenses that are specific to the type of business activity such as tourism, education, and media.

Submit the application 

The second step for RAKEZ company registration is to submit an online application. The application form lets free zone authority know the specifics of your business.The type of legal entity your company will take must also be determined. In RAKEZ you will find the option of setting up three types of companies;

  1. A free zone limited liability company with a minimum share capital of AED 1000, 
  2. A free zone establishment that can be owned by a single shareholder 
  3. Branch of a foriegn or local company performing similar activities as the parent company 

At this stage investors are also required to submit a few documents such as a business plan and NOC if required. 

Get your license  

After submitting the required documents, the license fees must be paid. The license certificate normally takes a few days to be processed. Companies must also choose the appropriate office space for their company. RAKEZ has the option of a flexi desk, a standard office, and an executive office.
